A Brief History

What can you accomplish over a cup or two of coffee in a hotel lobby? Or should the question be, how do you go home with the same amount of luggage, but not the same amount of family? The coffee conversation answered both questions as Christian Resort Ministries (CRM) was formed in the fall of 2002.

Two couples attended a recreational conference, where there they noticed there was no representation of the growing RV lifestyle as baby boomers entered retirement and a traveling lifestyle.

From the first Chaplain assignment, in the Florida panhandle to the present–CRM has been the driving force to place Chaplains in RV parks and resorts, specifically in three winter playgrounds, Florida, Texas, and Arizona.

Today, CRM has over thirty chaplains serving during the fall through spring seasons. All chaplains are non-denominational and follow the 1st Timothy doctrine, as recorded in the Holy Bible. (reference 1 Timothy 3:1-7)

Every chaplain who volunteers with Christian Resort Ministries is required to pass an extensive background check, own an RV, attend Chaplain University, which is a fall conference each year, and commit to their assignment for three to five years after successfully completing a one-year probation.
