God does amazing things when we obey His call. Here are a few short stories of how good God is. These are true stories from CRM chaplains but the names are most likely changed! Enjoy while praising God with us!
“The Lord has made Himself known to several people here and they have surrendered their lives to Him. Forgiveness and reconciliation is being spread in love because He first loved us. The word of God is going forth and is not returning void. Jesus Christ has brought us closer together as a community and as a family of believers. His Spirit is moving in the hearts of men and women at our park!”
“Dolly who has been coming to Southern Comfort with her husband Dave for four
years. Dolly, baptized as a baby and raised in a Christian home, found her church life
dwindling as a married adult. Until she and her husband began traveling and visiting
different churches. “But,” Dolly says, “the real change came in my worship of God in
Weslaco, Texas where I met people quickly and began going to ladies Bible study.” She
even did the Daniel’s Prayer in the off season with another SC Park friend, Ava, which
gave her peace in her prayer life. Dolly’s hunger for God’s Word increased as she and
Dave returned to Southern Comfort year after year. She tells us she has learned so much and loves her alone
times with the Lord. Tears come easy in those times seeking God with her whole heart. And she loves the
messages Marty shares in chapel on Sunday mornings as she can now more easily pinpoint what book and
chapter of the Bible he is preaching from. This girl’s Jesus heart is so contagious. You can see it in her
demeanor, in her smile.”
“Twice each year, the hearts of Casa del Valle Church and the Casa community unite in a powerful act of compassion, packing nearly 1,200 pounds of meals that bring hope and nourishment to partner churches across Mexico.”
“Jerry” had been smoking pot since his youth and never realized the damaged it could do physically and spiritually to him. “God opened my eyes and I have walked away from the pot with no side effects. God replaced the pot addiction with a hunger for God’s Word. I’ll never be the same!”
